With heavy pollution in the air these days and our hectic lifestyles, glowing skin has become a dream to most of us. We spend most our earnings in salons wanting that glowing skin, putting on the face pack, applying skin type moisturizers and spend a fortune of ours every month on it. But really is a professional help necessary? Can we help ourselves by everyday kitchen materials? Let’s talk about simple tips for glowing skin.
The most basic remedy for any skin type is drinking water. One must drink at least 4 liters of water every day. Whether it’s summer, winter, spring, autumn, it doesn’t matter. Water helps the better circulation of blood vessels and energizes your muscles, giving your skin space to breath. 70% of our body content is water. If you paid attention in your chemistry class, you would know the formula of water is H2O i.e. 1 molecule of water i.e. more the water in your body the more oxygen your skin gets and it does get glowing.
Face pack, because you are Batman. But remember Batman, before you apply face pack, wash your face.
Let’s open the fridge and get:
- Milk cream
Take a bowl; mix a half teaspoon of honey with 2 teaspoons of milk cream. Apply it on your face neck and leave it on for 20 mins. Mostly one only applies pack on their face. This only makes your face area glow, what about your neck? Do you always wear turtlenecks? No, then apply it on your neck, front and back. Once 20 minutes are done, wash the area with water alone. Do you feel the softness? This formula works like a charm during the winter season and in any season, if you have a dry skin.
You want to leave those pores open, so get the following:
- Lemon juice
- Basan / Chickpea flour
- Rose water
Mix one teaspoon of lemon juice on two teaspoons of basan. Mix them well to help the paste become thick. Apply it on your skin for 25 mins. Why lemon, because lemon has vitamin C that helps reduces the oil. Why besan, because if you apply lemon directly it will burn your skin, making it itchy and you might resort to scratch your own skin. Once 25 mins are up, wash your face with water only. Now apply rose water to your skin to keep it cool.
The world where the country of the nose is Gulf, rich with oil and the cheeks, dry as Sahara desert. Let’s combine the above two and get things working:
- Any moisturizing lotion
Mix two 2 spoons of curd with 2 teaspoons of besan to make a paste. Leave it on your face for 20 mins and clean with water only. Apply 3 drops of the lotion; the face world is now one glowing land.

- Two small cut pieces of cucumber
Before you go to sleep, apply the two pieces on your face well. Sleep the good sleep and rinse your face with water. Start the day with that glowing skin.
